Job summary

Bowman Consulting Group, Ltd. is seeking a Survey Instrument Operator in Las Vegas, NV. You will operate survey instruments and perform surveys under supervision, joining a crew to complete boundary, topography, ALTA, and construction surveys for public and private clients.

This entry-level position requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and willingness to travel. Training and supportive benefits are provided as part of a comprehensive compensation package.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred; relevant experience considered.
College or technical courses in mathematics and surveying.
Entry level position; prior survey experience a plus.
Valid driver's license with clean record required.

Responsibilities

Perform work under supervision and follow established procedures; tasks reviewed by senior staff.
Assist field supervisor with daily crew workload.
Work as a survey crew member performing boundary, topography, ALTA, right-of-way, and construction surveys for clients.
Set up and operate survey equipment (total-station, data-collector, level, GPS).
Perform survey calculations and stakeout surveys.
Maintain and stock survey equipment and vehicle.
Coordinate and train junior personnel.
Make accuracy checks and calibrations on equipment.
Work daily in a safe manner in compliance with regulations.
