Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking a Survey Instrument Operator to support field surveys in the Atlanta area. You will collect data, assist the Party Chief, and operate surveying instruments to measure elevations, angles, and distances.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, 1+ year surveying experience, a valid driver's license, and be willing to travel. Training is available, and we emphasize safety, accuracy, and timely reporting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year using data collectors and GPS equipment.
• 1+ year land surveying experience.
• Valid driver’s license and insurability.
• Willing to train applicants with less experience.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Must be willing to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Collect data per company standards for descriptions and line coding.
• Assist Party Chief in field operations.
• Operate and maintain surveying instruments to measure elevations, angles, and distances.
• Coordinate with office staff and clients as required.
• Adhere to local, state, and federal survey regulations and Accura procedures.
• Monitor daily timesheets, reports, and vehicle inspections.
• Perform calculations to locate reference points.
• Interpret maps, plats, blueprints, and specifications.
• Clean, check and adjust surveying instruments for accuracy.
• Oversee surveying activities in the absence of Party Chief.
• Perform related duties as required.
