Louisiana Bridge Builders is seeking a Survey Helper in Lake Charles, LA to support survey crews in measuring land boundaries, construction layouts, and critical site elements. You will handle surveying instruments, mark points, and assist with field tasks on a major bridge project.

The role requires a high school diploma and 1+ years of survey experience on civil construction, plus a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 1+ years survey experience on a civil construction project.
• Valid and current driver’s license required.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office and basic computer programs.

Responsibilities

• Assist survey crews by performing field tasks and supporting surveyors.
• Transport and set up surveying instruments (GPS units, total stations, levels).
• Hold equipment and markers to measure distances, elevations, and angles.
• Mark boundaries and project points with stakes or markers as instructed.
• Maintain and care for surveying gear and keep work areas clean and safe.
• Follow safety protocols and cooperate with licensed surveyors on site.
• Collaborate with team members and other crew on projects as needed.
