Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking a Field Support Specialist to provide advanced corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair across multiple solar facilities in California.

The role requires extensive travel (about 75%) and works on-site at job locations, coordinating with site teams and management. The position emphasizes safety, detailed documentation, and technical proficiency with SCADA, electrical systems, and testing equipment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent; vocational/technical training is a plus
• Associates degree or certificate in Electronics, Electrical Technology, or Mechanics preferred
• Minimum three years in utility-scale solar or related electrical power industry
• Strong corrective maintenance and troubleshooting background
• OSHA 10 and NFPA 70E certifications required
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel ~75%
• Ability to read electrical schematics and one-lines

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair across multiple solar facilities
• Travel extensively to support maintenance across the region
• Perform electrical testing and repair of LV/MV systems, inverters, substations
• Utilize SCADA and plant data to diagnose issues
• Maintain thorough documentation and accurate work orders
• Coordinate with site personnel and management during maintenance activities
• Ensure safety practices and stop-work authority when needed
• Provide training and knowledge sharing with site technicians
• Support root cause analysis and implement improvements
