Job summary

Peraton seeks an experienced Field Support Engineer to join our national intelligence program, delivering engineering, deployment, operations, and sustainment of products at customer sites across DC/Reston/Riverdale.

The role requires TS/SCI with poly, strong troubleshooting, Windows/Linux administration, and virtualization (VMware/Nutanix/Docker/Kubernetes). Some travel to CONUS/OCONUS may be required.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with ability to obtain Poly.
• 4+ years systems administration or equivalent experience; 0 years with PhD.
• Current CISSP or Security+ certification.
• Experience administering Windows Server and Unix/Linux systems and databases.
• Proficiency with Microsoft products, SQL Server, AD, and PowerShell.
• General networking knowledge and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert second-tier technical support and analysis to field engineers.
• Advise on installation, configuration, and customization of systems.
• Test, train, and support customers on designated systems.
• Troubleshoot, resolve incidents, and maintain maximum system availability.
• Travel/TDY CONUS and OCONUS as required to support missions.
