Job summary

HID Global in Fort Lauderdale is seeking a Field Support Engineer to bridge Engineering, Technical Support, and customers. You will troubleshoot, configure, and validate physical access control systems, support deployments, and drive product improvements.

This role involves on-site visits and close collaboration with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate brings PACS expertise, strong communication, and a customer-first mindset to deliver exceptional field support and ensure successful

Qualifications

4-7 years of experience working with physical access control systems (PACS).
Experience installing, configuring, and supporting access control hardware and software solutions.
Demonstrated ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in customer environments.
Experience supporting customers in a technical support, field engineering, systems engineering, or similar customer-facing role.

Responsibilities

Resolve escalated product issues with engineering teams.
Serve as a technical liaison between customers, Technical Support and Engineering.
Configure, integrate and validate PACS environments for testing and verification.
Attend on-site customer visits to assist with deployments and troubleshooting.
Document defects, enhancement requests and integration challenges for process improvement.
Own and manage escalated customer support cases through resolution.
