Job summary

HCLTech is seeking a Field Quality and Supplier Quality Engineer to join our team in Minnesota. This full-time role focuses on field failure analysis, verifying quality issues, and driving corrective actions.

You will perform RCAs on parts, develop immediate and permanent countermeasures, apply GD&T and metrology knowledge, and support supplier quality, part qualification, and incoming inspection processes.

Qualifications

• Understand GD&T and metrology techniques.
• Knowledge of RCA methods and 7QC tools.
• Hands-on metrology experience and understanding of part manufacturing processes (machining and sheet metal).
• Knowledge of electronic parts qualification and incoming part approval process.

Responsibilities

• Perform field failure analysis on parts identified by customer.
• Verify correctness of quality issue.
• Perform RCA on the identified part or related part.
• Find immediate countermeasures to manage line.
• Hands on segregation and measurement of on-hold parts.
• Identify countermeasures for permanent resolution.
• Hands on experience in metrology and understanding of part manufacturing processes, specifically machining and sheet metal.
• Knowledge on electronic parts qualification and incoming part approval process.
