Job summary

gpac is seeking a hands-on Field Supervisor to lead crews and oversee daily operations on underground utility and heavy civil projects in Northern Indiana. You will manage watermain, sanitary sewer, storm sewer installations and coordinate with project managers to keep work on schedule.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in field construction, strong leadership and safety focus, and the ability to read plans and coordinate crews and subcontractors effectively.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction field experience.
• Experience as Field Supervisor, Superintendent, Foreman, or similar leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of underground wet utilities: watermain, sanitary sewer, storm sewer.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily field operations and underground utility crews.
• Coordinate manpower, equipment, materials, and subcontractors.
• Oversee installation of watermain, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, and related utilities.
• Read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and utility drawings.
• Ensure work is completed according to plans, specifications, and project schedules.
• Maintain strong production, quality, and safety standards.
• Coordinate closely with Project Managers, Foremen, inspectors, and subcontractors.
• Identify field issues and develop solutions to keep projects on track.
• Monitor productivity and communicate progress to project management.
• Conduct daily pre-task planning and enforce company safety procedures.
• Assist with scheduling, material coordination, and project documentation.
• Train, develop, and hold field personnel accountable.
