Job summary

SOCOTEC US is seeking a Field Supervisor - Special Inspections to lead our inspection team, ensuring safety, quality, and adherence to approved documents. You will coach inspectors, coordinate with Dispatch and Project Managers, and maintain documentation for multiple projects.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of inspection experience, relevant certifications, and a strong grasp of codes and standards, with a valid driver's license and a proactive safety mindset.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of special inspection or related construction inspection experience.
• Current ICC or other applicable certifications.
• Strong knowledge of construction documents, applicable codes and standards.
• Ability to coach, develop employees, and escalate when needed.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform special inspections within certifications and areas of demonstrated competence.
• Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, and support to inspectors.
• Coordinate with Dispatch, Project Managers, and the Field Operations Manager to assign qualified inspectors based on project scope and requirements.
• Review project requirements, approved plans, specifications, and reporting expectations with inspectors as needed.
• Confirm inspectors have required certifications, documents, equipment, PPE, and site contacts for assignments.
• Review inspection reports, photographs, time entries, and supporting documentation for accuracy and timeliness.
• Maintain accurate inspection records and upload documentation through required project systems.
• Promote a culture of safety, integrity, technical quality, professionalism, teamwork, and client service.
