Job summary

SOCOTEC is seeking a diligent Senior Associate to manage field operations staff and perform field inspections ensuring compliance with building, fire, and accessibility codes. The role is in the SLS division, focusing on life safety and fire protection projects.

Responsibilities include leading projects, preparing inspection reports, and collaborating with clients and authorities to resolve issues. Travel to client sites is required; NICET or equivalent certifications are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
• 4+ years in fire and life safety system inspection or design preferred.
• Knowledge of NFPA and local fire safety codes.
• Strong analytical and detail-oriented abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to sites.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage projects with supporting staff.
• Perform detailed inspections of fire and life safety systems.
• Verify compliance with national and local codes and standards.
• Prepare comprehensive inspection reports with deficiencies and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, and authorities to resolve issues.
• Assist in commissioning and testing of fire protection systems.
• Maintain accurate inspection records and schedule follow-ups.
