AWP Safety is hiring a Field Supervisor to lead 40+ protectors in field-based crews, uphold our safety culture, and drive continuous improvement. The role reports to Area/General Managers and partners with Area Staff to deliver projects safely and on schedule.

You will develop teams, maintain client relationships, perform site inspections, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. A valid license and ATSSA/state certifications are valued as you grow with the company.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in a business-related field is a plus but not required.
• High School Diploma or GED completion required.
• 1-2 years of supervisor experience and building teams with 30+ team members.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to build and maintain working relationships with your team.
• Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office products and customer relationship management systems.
• Must adhere to and promote safe workplace practices.
• Valid drivers’ license and ability to meet AWP Safety driver standards.

Responsibilities

• Direct leadership/supervision for 40+ protectors (field based crews).
• Support the Area Manager and General Manager in managing and executing company initiatives.
• Collaborate daily with all Area Staff to drive continuous improvement.
• Maintain Field (80%) and Office (20%) responsibilities.
• Ensure safety, quality, training, and employee engagement standards are met.
• Protect the company’s team members, customers, and assets through safe practices.
• Coach, motivate, and develop assigned team of protectors.
• Develop relationships with new and existing customers to achieve goals.
• Perform job site and vehicle inspections, meet with clients, and work in the field when needed.
• Address customer service issues promptly while providing high service levels.
• Monitor payroll, timekeeping, benefits, and training needs for staff.
• Facilitate teambuilding and regular communications with team members.
• Engage and support training to reduce turnover and costs.
• Obtain ATSSA and state-specific certifications.
• Become a subject matter expert in work zone setup/design and flagging.
