Process Waste Mechanical Superintendent

Location: Boise, ID (Fully Onsite)

Salary: $100,000 - $150,000 DOE + Incentives

Job Description

The Process Waste Mechanical Superintendent reports to the Project Superintendent and Mechanical Construction Manager. The role manages projects from start to finish, oversees the mechanical project team, schedules work, submits RFIs, ensures a safe working environment, and oversees QA/QC programs. The position supervises multiple mechanical subcontractors performing extensive fast‑tracked scope on multiple large semiconductor buildings.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate day‑to‑day activities with other superintendents, mechanical subcontractors, and other discipline subcontractors.
  • Supervise multiple subcontractors and craft employees.
  • Maintain and adjust project schedule daily.
  • Manage RFIs and submittal materials for review with the Owner/Architect.
  • Manage and oversee cost control and QA/QC program.
  • Manage and abide by all safety protocols.
  • Provide resolution to design and constructability issues.
  • Respond to customer/client requests and/or issues and develop resolution using technical expertise.
  • Interpret and implement proper installations in compliance with all local authority permitting, codes and site specifications.
  • Provide supporting information regarding field conditions and scope for cost estimates.
  • Facilitate contractor activity ensuring performance by all contractual agreements.
  • Assist with management project staffing.
  • Work closely with owners, architects, engineers, consultants, and subcontractors.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of five (5) years' mechanical construction experience.
  • Extensive experience on large industrial and hi‑tech fabrication projects.
  • Experience with Hi Purity Bulk gases and chemicals.
  • Experience in specific areas such as Fab, Sub‑fab, Cleanroom, Tool, Jungle Gym, Utility and Process Systems.
  • Thorough understanding of all aspects of mechanical wet or dry construction.
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent.
  • OHSA 30 Certification.
  • Familiar with mechanical installations on large equipment and in cleanroom environments.
  • Experience organizing technical data and familiarity with CSI specification system.
  • Proficient in Windows, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Bluebeam.
  • Experience with project management software such as Prolog, Procore, E‑Builder, Microsoft Project, and Primavera P6.
  • Experience with design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks.
  • Strong communication skills; ability to work closely with project owners, architects, engineers, vendors, and subcontractors.
  • Dedicated team player, self‑starter, flexible, calm under pressure, able to work with minimal instruction.
  • Physical ability to access all construction site areas and levels for work progress review.
  • Flexible work schedule to accommodate extended hours or off‑shift work.
Essential Functions
  • Workday is a combination of standing, walking, and sitting.
  • Must be able to climb stairs: 50% of day.
  • Hands/Arms: constant use of hands/fingers for mouse/keyboard/computer use.
  • Sight: visual acuity in near, mid, and far range; color and peripheral vision; hand/eye coordination.
  • Hearing: sufficient to hear conversational levels in person and over the telephone.
  • Speech: sufficient to be heard in person, speak before groups, and understand telephone and radio communication.
  • Lift/Carry: up to 50 lbs - frequent.
  • Bending/Twisting: frequent.
  • Kneeling/Crouching/Crawling: minimal.
  • Constant mental alertness, accuracy, and attention to detail required.
  • Work independently, make decisions, and follow through on assignments.
  • Use creativity, independent judgment, and organizational and problem‑solving skills to achieve desired results.
  • Plan and organize work efficiently.
  • Strong organizational and computer use skills; high level of competency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
