Job summary

Vivmark Residential is seeking a Superintendent I to join our construction team in San Francisco. The role focuses on delivering high-quality multifamily and mixed-use projects, taking ownership of scopes, and developing field leadership skills.

You'll work with experienced leaders to maintain schedules, ensure safety, coordinate subcontractors, and uphold Vivmark's high standards throughout project execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent field experience in construction-related discipline.
• Experience supporting multifamily, commercial, mixed-use, or residential construction projects.
• Understanding of construction scheduling, quality control, jobsite safety, and subcontractor coordination.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively with subcontractors, consultants, inspectors, and project teams.
• Proactive mindset and desire to grow into increasing levels of field leadership.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned scopes of work on multifamily and mixed-use construction projects.
• Monitor subcontractor performance, productivity, quality, and schedule adherence.
• Partner with Superintendents and Project Managers to review project schedules and identify updates.
• Support jobsite safety efforts and promote safe work practices.
• Ensure construction activities meet quality standards and project specifications.
• Coordinate RFIs, inspections, project documentation, and daily jobsite activities.
• Identify field issues, evaluate root causes, and implement practical solutions to reduce risk.
• Participate in daily/weekly project meetings with stakeholders and inspectors.
