Job summary

Clark Construction is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to coordinate field operations on a project, ensuring work aligns with the schedule and contracts. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and cost-efficient execution on active sites in Baltimore.

The candidate should have an undergraduate degree in a related field or equivalent experience, 3+ years in construction management, and proven ability to manage subcontractors and drive projects to plan, with strong knowledge of scheduling and

Qualifications

Undergraduate degree in engineering, architecture, construction management or related field (or equivalent work experience).
3+ years of construction management experience in a field supervisory role.
Ability to direct work of others including subcontractors and suppliers.
Knowledge of scheduling, contract administration, equipment and manpower.
Strong safety program knowledge and OSHA familiarity.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate installation of work per contract docs, schedule, and sequence.
Understand scope of work for assigned areas/trades.
Develop understanding of activity durations and resource use.
Plan equipment utilization for efficiency and cost control.
Track material and equipment delivery deadlines affecting area trades.
Lead field workforce to meet budgets and achieve targets.
Implement and monitor safety programs and conduct routine inspections.
Maintain good relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
