Job summary

PTS Advance seeks a Transmission & Distribution (T&D) Superintendent to oversee field operations on long-term utility projects across the USA. You will plan, organize, and supervise construction tasks, manage subcontractors, and ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence in high-voltage environments.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s or higher in construction management or related field with 7+ years leading T&D projects (or equivalent experience), strong leadership and communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher with 7+ years of construction management on T&D projects.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with a robust safety focus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and solid computer skills.
• Ability to meet company driving requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage construction activities, including high-voltage transmission lines, structures, substations, grounding, and environmental compliance.
• Oversee safety, productivity, materials management, and scheduling for projects.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, and project teams.
• Collaborate with project management to implement procedures, standards, and controls.
• Ensure all activities comply with contracts, schedules, and safety protocols.
• Document project progress with daily field reports and photos.
• Lead subcontractor coordination, material verification, and quality assurance.
• Supervise field construction staff and enforce project policies.

Job Summary:

The Transmission & Distribution (T&D) Superintendent will oversee field operations for assigned projects, ensuring the safe, timely, and cost-effective completion of work. This role involves planning, organizing, and supervising construction tasks, scheduling activities, and ensuring subcontractor compliance with project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage construction activities, including high-voltage transmission lines, steel and wood structures, substation equipment, grounding, and environmental requirements.
• Oversee safety, productivity, materials management, and scheduling for assigned projects.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and project teams.
• Collaborate with project management to implement procedures, standards, and project controls.
• Ensure all construction activities comply with contracts, schedules, and safety protocols.
• Monitor and document project progress with daily field reports and photos.
• Lead subcontractor coordination, material verification, and quality assurance compliance.
• Supervise field construction staff and ensure adherence to project policies and standards.

Qualifications, Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree with 7+ years of construction management or craft supervision experience on T&D projects. OR
• Associate Degree with 9+ years of relevant experience. OR
• High School Diploma/GED with 11+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong communication and leadership skills with a robust safety focus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and strong computer skills.
• Ability to meet company driving requirements.
