Position in a Nutshell

Sciens Building Solutions seeks a Field Superintendent who will lead an installation team to deliver projects on schedule and on budget. Working mostly in the field, the Field Superintendent will ensure projects are installed in accordance with all applicable codes and regulations and abide by the quality standards of Sciens. Safety is a top priority at Sciens, and this position will be responsible for ensuring all safety standards and work practices are met. The Field Superintendent will also be responsible for mentoring field employees.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Ensure projects are installed in accordance with applicable codes and standards.
  • Deliver projects on schedule and on budget.
  • Work directly with customers to achieve a high level of satisfaction.
  • Identify potential change orders and communicate to the Project Manager/Operations Manager and Estimators for assessment and processing.
  • Ensure compliance of all assigned employees with Sciens safety standards.
  • Provide mentoring and training to field team members.
  • Ensure all documentation and reports are completed on time and accurately.
  • Review and participate, as necessary, in all system testing to ensure readiness for final inspections and acceptance.
  • Make recommendations on efficiency improvements associated with project installations.
  • Assist in the performance management process of team members.
What We Like About You
  • 2-5 years of experience within the commercial fire detection/fire suppression industry.
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety standards.
  • Proficient in current, applicable codes related to installation, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, decision‑making, and communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills; proficient at Microsoft Office.
  • Be physically fit to perform the demanding work of the trade, including frequent lifting of up to 25 pounds and occasional lifting up to 50 pounds; able to work from heights and climb ladders; standing and walking for most of the workday.
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and able to obtain OSHA 10 certifications.
  • Proficient in issue resolution.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and with a sense of urgency.
  • Ability to travel occasionally overnight, as needed.
  • Able to pass background check and pre‑employment drug screening.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
