Job summary

CMI General Contractors is hiring experienced Construction Superintendents with backgrounds in medical, wood frame, multi-family and government work to help us grow. You will oversee daily site operations, lead the crew, follow plans, use ProCore, manage logs, and coordinate with the project team while ensuring safety and compliance.

A strong work ethic and organization are essential to succeed on complex projects.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of construction experience required.
• Experience with ProCore is required.
• Ability to read and follow construction drawings and plans.
• OSHA 10 required; OSHA 30 desired.
• High school diploma or equivalent; associate/bachelor preferred.

Responsibilities

Superintendent Job Responsibilities:

• Oversees daily operations at a construction site.
• Leads daily morning meetings with the entire crew.
  
• Follows construction drawings and approved plans.
• Uses ProCore to manage projects.
  
• Orders necessary equipment, tools, and materials.
• Helps to set and stick to the budget and schedule.
• Writes daily logs and other necessary documentation.
• Makes sure all local, state, and national business codes and regulations are followed.
• Ensures that the team adheres to all company policies and safety protocols.
• Works directly with the project manager, architect, and subcontractors in a positive manner.
  

Superintendent Qualifications and Skills:

• Demonstrates strong organization and problem-solving skills.
• Excels at motivating a team and has strong management skills.
• Experience with ProCore, required.
  
• Experience using Microsoft Office including word, excel and project.
• Experience working in Hospitals (Infection Control, Safety Protocols, etc.)
• Handles the physical demands of the job, including standing, walking, and sitting for long periods, and lifting 50 pounds.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• An associate's or bachelor's degree is desired.
• OSHA 10 required and OSHA 30 desired.
  
• CPR/First Aid certified desired.
• At least 3-5 years of construction experience is required.
