Job summary

CMI General Contractors in Southern Maryland is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee daily site operations on commercial design/build projects. You will lead morning meetings, ensure compliance with drawings and plans, and collaborate with the project manager, architect, and subcontractors.

The role requires 3–5 years of construction experience, OSHA 10 (OSHA 30 preferred), CPR/First Aid desired, and ProCore plus MS Office proficiency.

Qualifications

• At least 3–5 years of construction experience is required.
• OSHA 10 is required; OSHA 30 is desired.
• CPR/First Aid certification desired.
• Experience with ProCore is required.
• Experience working in hospital environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily operations at a construction site.
• Leads daily morning meetings with the crew.
• Follows construction drawings and approved plans.
• Uses ProCore to manage projects.
• Orders equipment, tools, and materials.
• Makes sure budget and schedule are followed.
• Writes daily logs and necessary documentation.
• Ensures compliance with codes and safety protocols.
• Collaborates with project manager, architect, and subcontractors.

CMI General Contractors is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to join our team. Superintendent Job Responsibilities:

• Oversees daily operations at a construction site.
• Leads daily morning meetings with the entire crew.
  
• Follows construction drawings and approved plans.
• Uses ProCore to manage projects.
  
• Orders necessary equipment, tools, and materials.
• Helps to set and stick to the budget and schedule.
• Writes daily logs and other necessary documentation.
• Makes sure all local, state, and national business codes and regulations are followed.
• Ensures that the team adheres to all company policies and safety protocols.
• Works directly with the project manager, architect, and subcontractors in a positive manner.
  

Superintendent Qualifications and Skills:

• Demonstrates strong organization and problem-solving skills.
• Excels at motivating a team and has strong management skills.
• Experience with ProCore, required.
  
• Experience using Microsoft Office including word, excel and project.
• Experience working in Hospitals (Infection Control, Safety Protocols, etc.)
• Handles the physical demands of the job, including standing, walking, and sitting for long periods, and lifting 50 pounds.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• An associate’s or bachelor’s degree is desired.
• OSHA 10 required and OSHA 30 desired.
  
• CPR/First Aid certified desired.
• At least 3-5 years of construction experience is required.
