Job summary
Colliers Engineering & Design in San Antonio, TX is seeking a SUE Technician to join our Utilities/Survey team. You will map and designate utilities using GPR, GPS, and vacuum excavation while supporting engineers on diverse projects.
Ideal candidates have 0–2 years of experience with electromagnetic and geophysical designation technologies, enjoy outdoor work, and can travel as needed. We emphasize safety, professional conduct, and growth within a multidisciplinary environment.
Qualifications
- 0–2 years of experience with electromagnetic and geophysical designation technologies.
- Ability to quickly grasp new technologies.
- Strong reading and communication skills.
- Enjoy outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
- Occasional travel and overtime may be required.
- Able to walk long distances daily.
- Lift up to 80 lbs.
- Safety-focused and attentive to surroundings.
- Proficient reading/writing in English for job communications.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret utility records, as-built and survey drawings.
- Designate existing utilities using electromagnetic and geophysical methods.
- Operate a vacuum excavation truck and expose utilities.
- Tackle a variety of projects as part of a team.
- Apply appropriate traffic control and safety measures.
