Job summary

Accura Engineering is seeking a SUE Technician to support subsurface utility investigations in the Atlanta, GA area. You will operate GPR and electromagnetic locators, identify underground utilities, and produce field sketches and as-built data with a focus on safety and accuracy.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in SUE or utility locating.
• Familiarity with SUE methods QL-B, QL-C, QLD and QL-A.
• Ability to read and interpret construction and utility plans.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.

Responsibilities

• Perform subsurface utility investigations using GPR, electromagnetic locators, and vacuum excavation techniques.
• Accurately locate and identify underground utilities such as gas, electric, water, and telecommunications lines.
• Prepare and interpret field sketches, utility drawings, and as-built data.
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, and field staff to ensure accurate reporting and safe excavation practices.
• Ensure all work complies with safety protocols and industry standards.
• Assist with the preparation of reports, deliverables, and field notes.
• Maintain equipment and vehicles in a clean and functional condition.
