Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent; substitution possible with 8 years of relevant construction inspection experience.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in structure construction inspection.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook).
• Strong written communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• In field, perform construction inspections to ensure materials/workmanship meet plans and specs.
• Take action to address non-conforming work, including removal/replacement as needed.
• Perform calculations for alignment and grade, establish surveying control.
• Review submittals and shop drawings with Construction Contractor.
• Coordinate with contractor on compliance with plans, quality, and Cal/OSHA regulations.
• Assist in preparing contract documents (change orders, estimates, claims, RFIs).
• Maintain daily diaries of activities, tests, and materials.
• Perform verification sampling/tests per ASTM/CTM methods.
