Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services in Enid, OK is seeking Helpers for structural steel assembly and field tasks. You will assist journeymen, set up hoisting equipment, and position steel members while following safety rules.

Preferred candidates have at least 6 months documented field experience, can read instructions and drawings, and are able to work at heights with lifting requirements. Basic rigging and oxyacetylene welding familiarity are a plus.

Qualifications

• May require a high school diploma or its equivalent with previous years of experience in the field or in a related area.
• Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
• Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
• Works under immediate supervision and reports to a supervisor or manager.

Responsibilities

• Assist journeyman level iron workers in daily tasks.
• Sets up hoisting equipment and places structural steel members.
• Fastens steel members to hoist cables and guides placement.
• Signals hoist operator to lift and place steel.
• Cleans, maintains tools and performs minor maintenance.
