Job summary

Southern Industrial Constructors, Inc. seeks an Ironworker Helper for a project in Stillwater, OK. Hired candidates will be considered for Benefits/Paid Time Off after 3-months.

Role involves assisting in installing, maintaining and operating instruments and measuring devices, supporting craftsmen, handling materials, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment on a demanding site. Expect potential travel and strict adherence to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Safety and general job training as required by SIC.
• Follow SIC safety and quality processes at all times.

Responsibilities

• Assist in installing, maintaining and operating all instruments and measuring devices needed for functional systems.
• Load, transport, unload and furnish experienced craft worker with materials, tools, equipment and supplies.
• Clean work area and restock supplies and materials as necessary.
• Perform work from scaffolding, ladders or other structures.
• Perform work overhead, at heights, beneath structures, and from various other positions as required by working conditions.
• Lift and carry objects of varying weights.
• Detect, recognize and respond to dangerous conditions or situations.
• Performs minor maintenance and cleaning activities of site, tools and equipment.
• Ability to verbally communicate directions from craft supervisors, and respond to questions from managers and fellow workers.
• Regular attendance is required.
• Significant travel may be required.
• Performs other duties as required
