Pure Power Engineering in Hoboken, NJ is seeking a Field Structural Engineer with extensive on-site experience to support our rapidly growing solar portfolio. This role focuses on evaluating rooftops and ground-mounted structures, translating site conditions into accurate structural plans, and preparing analysis packages for solar installations.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering with Structural focus is required.
• EIT or FE certification is required.
• Master's degree in Civil Engineering (Structural concentration) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct frequent field site visits to evaluate rooftops and structures for solar installations.
• Assess structural systems across facilities to determine solar capacity and feasibility.
• Identify framing systems, load paths and connections to support PV design.
• Take precise field measurements and regenerate structural drawings reflecting site conditions.
• Perform structural analysis for solar mount installations to verify adequacy against loads and seismic demands.
• Prepare calculation packages and reports for permit approvals (rooftop and ground mount).
