Job summary

Prescott’s Med is seeking a Sterilizer Repair Technician to provide hands-on support for industrial washing, sterilization, and surgical equipment, including autoclaves and washers. The role is field-based, involves travel, and emphasizes problem-solving and strong customer service.

You will install, maintain, and repair devices for hospitals and labs, document work, and train customers on proper use, with an emphasis on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical school training in mechanical, electrical, or electronic systems preferred.
• 1–3 years field service or technical maintenance experience; or 3–5 years of hands-on experience.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in repair and maintenance of Getinge CASTLE and/or Steris AMSCO washing, sterilization, and surgical equipment is required.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
• Strong technical, troubleshooting, and mechanical aptitude.
• Willingness to travel frequently (60–90%) to customer sites up to 3 hours away.
• Proficiency with computers and Windows-based software applications.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, modify, and refurbish industrial washing, sterilization, and surgical equipment and components.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment from multiple manufacturers.
• Service devices including autoclaves, washers, tunnel washers, and surgical tools.
• Conduct installations and equipment modifications as required.
• Maintain accurate service documentation, reports, and inventory records.
• Deliver exemplary customer experience through proactive communication and issue resolution.
• Plan and manage service schedules for timely responses and completions.
• Provide on-site training or demonstrations on proper equipment use and maintenance.
• Identify opportunities for equipment upgrades or service contracts.
• Use CRM and service reporting tools to submit reports within 24 hours of completion.
• Manage tools, parts, and inventory to support field operations.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies and customer site protocols.
