Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Stack Testing Engineer in New York to support industrial air emissions testing, source sampling, and data analysis. This field-oriented role blends hands-on testing with regulatory compliance and report preparation.

You will conduct tests on smokestacks and emission sources, operate and troubleshoot testing equipment, and perform EPA-method testing. Travel to sites is required; strong communication and analytical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field related to environmental engineering.
• 2+ years of stack/emissions testing or related experience preferred.
• Knowledge of EPA stationary source test methods and air quality regulations.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and oversee stack testing and emissions sampling at industrial facilities.
• Test smokestacks, exhaust systems, boilers, furnaces, engines, and other stationary emission sources.
• Set up, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot emissions testing equipment.
• Analyze test data, perform emissions calculations, and review results for accuracy.
• Prepare technical reports, sampling documentation, and testing records.
• Travel regularly to industrial facilities, including occasional overnight travel.
