Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking a Field Specialist - Artificial Lift System to support ESP operations on onshore wells in the Midland area. You will assist with installation, testing, and basic on-site maintenance to meet schedules and client expectations.

You will work under your own initiative, follow safety and compliance standards, and communicate effectively with customers to resolve issues and ensure reliable operations.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent level of education.
  • 1–5 years of Artificial Lift and ESP experience.
  • Relevant industry experience (electronic, oilfield, automotive) with mechanical aptitude and basic knowledge of electronic components.
  • Basic knowledge of running ESP or Artificial Lift tools or equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with installation/pulling of ESP and related equipment in onshore wells.
  • Assist testing ESP equipment to maximize well productivity.
  • Follow HSE standards to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Act as primary customer contact for critical or escalated issues on all orders.
  • Maintain awareness of operational status of field equipment at the well site.

Field Specialist - Artificial Lift System

As a Field Specialist, you will provide support for ESP operations. You will also oversee operational work to ensure pre-check, installation, and basic on-site maintenance are carried out safely. You will be able to work under your own initiative to help meet operation schedule and customer satisfactions.

As a Field Specialist for ESP, you will be responsible for:
  • Assisting with the installation/pulling of ESP and associated equipment in onshore oil and water wells
  • Assisting with testing ESP equipment in order to maximize well productivity
  • Following internal compliance and HSE standards to ensure a safe working environment
  • Acting as the primary customer contact for critical or escalated issues on all orders
  • Taking ownership for knowing the operational status of field equipment at the well site

Fuel your passion To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a High School diploma or equivalent level of education
  • Have 1-5 years of Artificial Lift and ESP experience
  • Have relevant industry experience (electronic, oilfield, automotive) with excellent mechanical aptitude and basic knowledge of electronic components
  • Have a basic knowledge of running ESP or Artificial Lift tools or equipment
