Job summary

Baker Hughes onshore Texas is seeking a Field Service Technician to lead installation and maintenance of oilfield equipment, troubleshoot on-site, and deliver safe, compliant operations for customers. The role includes rig-up/down tasks, monitoring well control, commissioning, running, maintaining and repairing equipment, with hands-on mentorship from crews and training opportunities.

As a Field Service Technician, you will play a vital role with our customers. Leading installation and maintenance activities, you will work with customers to troubleshoot issues and ensure safe and compliant installations. You will be the onsite expert, continually developing your knowledge and skills to deliver innovative solutions for customers.

As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for:

• Assisting the team in delivering Onshore Service projects to external and internal customers.
• Absorbing operational guidance, training & mentorship from crews where needed.
• Performing a number of tasks associated with the operation, rig-up / down of equipment and tools and related equipment in the field.
• Monitoring well control conditions & assisting in onshore operations in line with the client program.
• Commissioning, running, maintaining, and repairing equipment.

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have a high school diploma / GED.
• Have 5 years of relevant industry experience preferred.
• Have 2 years of experience in pipeline fitting or oilfield construction preferred.
