Job summary

RNWBL is seeking a field technician for a fixed-site, field role in Blythe, CA, focusing on DC system health, module replacements, tracker repairs, and inverter maintenance at utility-scale solar facilities.

You will reside within 1 hour of the project, inspect DC systems, perform module swaps, diagnose tracker components, and support preventive and corrective maintenance while following OSHA, NEC, and NFPA 70E safety standards.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in utility-scale solar PV or related electrical/mechanical field.
• Knowledge of DC systems, PV modules, and tracker mechanisms.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and OEM manuals.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Reside within 1 hour of the project when possible.
• Inspect and troubleshoot DC systems, combiner boxes, and string performance.
• Perform module swaps and replacements; diagnose and repair tracker system components.
• Support both corrective and preventative maintenance across PV systems and BOS equipment.
• Document work performed and maintain compliance with safety standards (OSHA, NEC, NFPA 70E).
• Collaborate with peers, site leads, and clients to ensure project success.
• Assist with scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities.
• Maintain safety training and Qualified Electrical Worker requirements as a technician.
