Job summary

RNWBL is seeking a field technician to perform maintenance on utility-scale solar facilities, focusing on DC system health, module swaps, and tracker repairs. The role requires working near project sites with potential relocation within commuting distance and participation in an on-call schedule.

You will troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems, document activities with digital reporting, and collaborate with site leads and clients to ensure project success while adhering to safety

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in utility-scale solar PV or related electrical/mechanical field.
• Ability to read electrical diagrams and OEM manuals.
• Willingness to train and assist on other projects as needed.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Inspect DC systems, combiner boxes, and string performance using meters and electrical test equipment.
• Perform module swaps/replacements per site standards.
• Diagnose and repair tracker system components (gearboxes, actuators, drives, motors).
• Support corrective and preventative maintenance across PV systems and BOS equipment.
• Document work and ensure compliance with OSHA/NFPA 70E safety standards.
