Job summary

Service Robot Co. is seeking a field technician to install and maintain solar equipment at customer sites in outdoor environments. The role involves climbing, wiring, and performing system checks with safety protocols in place.

Training is provided through the company academy, and initial work is paid per completed order. The ideal candidate has experience in trades, a willingness to learn electrical basics, and a strong focus on safety and reliability for on-site deployments across varied

Qualifications

• Experience in roofing, electrical work, construction, HVAC or another practical trade.
• Basic electrical knowledge or willingness to learn through training.
• Careful attention to safety and signs of equipment failure.
• Comfort using ladders, wearing a harness, and working at height.
• Availability for physical outdoor work and travel to customer sites.
• Reliability and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Install solar panels, mounting systems, and wiring according to site plans.
• Maintain and repair inverters, combiner boxes, trackers, and connectors.
• Inspect systems, take electrical readings, and use thermal scans to find faults.
• Clean panels and complete scheduled maintenance.
• Follow fall protection, electrical isolation, and test-before-touch procedures.
• Record each visit with photos, readings, and repair notes.
• Explain findings and follow-up work to the site owner.
• Keep tools, meters, and protective equipment ready for use.
