Job summary

Service Robot Co. is seeking a Solar Technician to install and maintain solar equipment on rooftops, ground-mounted systems, and large solar sites in El Paso, TX. This is field work under a contract, paid per work order, with training provided through the Service Robot Co.

Academy and in-person sessions, including necessary industry certifications. You will complete an online course, followed by hands-on training and industry certification, with initial paid job support from a specialist

Qualifications

• Experience in roofing, electrical work, construction, HVAC, or another practical trade.
• Basic electrical knowledge or willingness to learn through training.
• Careful attention to safety and signs of equipment failure.
• Comfort using ladders, harness, and working at height.

Responsibilities

• Install solar panels, mounting systems, and wiring according to site plans.
• Maintain and repair inverters, combiner boxes, trackers, and connectors.
• Inspect systems, take electrical readings, and use thermal scans to find faults.
• Clean panels and complete scheduled maintenance.
• Follow fall protection, electrical isolation, and test-before-touch procedures.
• Record each visit with photos, readings, and repair notes.
• Explain findings and follow-up work to the site owner.
