Job summary

Service Robot Co. seeks a field installer to install and maintain solar equipment on rooftops, ground-mounted systems, and large solar sites. This role is outdoors, requires travel to customer sites, and involves paid per work order contracts.

You will perform installations, maintenance, safety checks, and documentation while adhering to site plans and procedures. Training is provided, and first job is paid with remote support from a specialist.

Qualifications

• Experience in roofing, electrical work, construction, HVAC, or another practical trade.
• Basic electrical knowledge or willingness to learn through training.
• Careful attention to safety and signs of equipment failure.
• Comfort using ladders, wearing a harness, and working at height.
• Availability for physical outdoor work and travel to customer sites.
• Reliability and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Install solar panels, mounting systems, and wiring according to site plans.
• Maintain and repair inverters, combiner boxes, trackers, and connectors.
• Inspect systems, take electrical readings, and use thermal scans to find faults.
• Clean panels and complete scheduled maintenance.
• Follow fall protection, electrical isolation, and test-before-touch procedures.
• Record each visit with photos, readings, and repair notes.
• Explain findings and follow-up work to the site owner.
• Keep tools, meters, and protective equipment ready for use.
