Bright Power Inc. is seeking a certified California Journeyman Electrician to join our team as a PV Field Technician: Field Quality Control and O&M. The role focuses on field-based electrical installation, quality control inspections, troubleshooting, corrective work, and operations and maintenance support for commercial and industrial solar projects. Travel across California with overnight stays as needed to support project sites.
Qualifications
At least five years of commercial or industrial electrical construction experience.
Experience with commercial, industrial, or utility-scale solar projects.
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, one-line diagrams, specifications, and installation details.
Experience with electrical testing, troubleshooting, inspections, documentation, and punch-list verification.
Valid California driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
Working proficiency with Microsoft 365 and mobile field-reporting tools.
Responsibilities
Perform electrical installation, testing, troubleshooting, and repair work in accordance with applicable codes, approved drawings, specifications, and company standards.
Conduct field quality control inspections of subcontracted and self- performed work.
Document findings using checklists, photographs, field reports, test results, and corrective action records.
Support O & M inspections, service calls, corrective work, and coordination with service vendors or subcontractors.
Assist with commissioning, punch- list verification, project closeout, and turnover documentation.
Adhere to OSHA, company, and site- specific safety requirements, including electrical safe- work practices.
