Job Summary

This position is responsible for repairing construction machines, component assemblies, and parts in the shop and field. Responsibilities include diagnosing issues, ordering parts, writing technical reports, warranty reporting, maintaining company assets, and effective communication with team members.

Responsibilities

1. Repair equipment and components, including developing a repair plan and sequence.
2. Determine necessary parts, materials, tooling, etc.
3. Perform repairs safely and correctly, with proper quality assurance testing.
4. Complete reports for parts ordering, tooling usage, daily service, and work orders.
5. Communicate repair progress to supervisors.
6. Manage parts and materials through the company’s parts ordering system.
7. Handle special tools and maintain shop equipment properly.
8. Use company vehicle, service truck, and fuel cards responsibly.
9. Keep work area and service vehicle clean and safe.
10. Maintain tools and equipment in good condition.
11. Follow all company policies and safety guidelines.
12. Perform additional tasks as assigned by the manager.

Education, Experience, and Skills

High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required. An Associate Degree in Diesel or Equipment Technology or four years of apprenticeship experience is preferred. Technician classification depends on experience, knowledge, and competence.

Physical Demands

Work Environment
