Job summary

SGS Scarborough, ME laboratory is seeking an entry-level Field Services Technician to join their team. Field Service Technicians collect environmental samples for clients and troubleshoot field issues, providing basic lab support when not in the field.

The role emphasizes hands-on field work, travel to various sites, and working with team members and vendors to ensure accurate sampling and documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Associate degree in chemistry or related field preferred.
• Basic math, reasoning, and computer skills required.
• Must enjoy outdoor work and be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Collect environmental water, soil, and air samples from multiple sites.
• Travel to sampling sites and communicate with clients, team and vendors.
• Maintain equipment and prepare sampling containers, complete documentation.
• Provide routine laboratory support when not in the field.
