Job Description

Our Elko, NV laboratory is seeking an entry-level Technician for the Field Services team. The Field Services Technician will perform field analyses, sample pickup, and collect environmental samples. Responsibilities include following health and safety protocols, documenting sampling activities, commuting to client sites, and delivering samples to the laboratory. The Technician must demonstrate safe defensive driving behavior and maintain a satisfactory driving record.

Job Functions
  • Collect soil, water, and wastewater samples from client sites in accordance with federal, state, and company guidelines.
  • Travel to mine sites for sample pickup multiple times a week.
  • Coordinate sample drop-offs with Reno laboratory.
  • Schedule collection services and use company vehicle to travel to client sites.
  • Perform analyses in the field per standard operating procedures; transport sampling equipment between locations.
  • Document all field sampling activities in detail.
  • Deliver collected samples back to laboratory.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external clients.
  • Complete all required training to perform responsibilities in compliance with regulatory guidelines.
  • Assist Sample Management Department.
  • Be comfortable performing all tasks in inclement weather and temperatures.
  • Perform courier routes for sample pickup from different client sites.
  • Prepare client bottle kits.
  • Package and ship samples and bottle kits.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • MSHA certified or obtain certification by Dec 2025 (Required).
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (Required).
  • 1 year of relevant experience (Required).
  • Experience in an environmental laboratory (Preferred).
  • Advanced English language skills (Required).
  • Strong customer service skills (Required).
  • Ability to lift/carry/push and/or pull upwards of 50 lbs on a constant basis (Required).
