Job summary

Clean Harbors in Stockton, CA is seeking a Field Services Technician I to join our safety‑conscious team. This role will perform hazardous waste cleanup, site remediation, equipment decontamination and handling of hazardous materials in the field.

The position requires physical stamina, willingness to work outdoors in all weather, and adherence to Health and Safety policies. Training and growth opportunities are available as part of our comprehensive benefits program.

Qualifications

• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to perform physical functions per Key Responsibilities.
• This position includes emergency response; on-call; weekends/holidays may be required; emergencies can extend beyond 8 hours, up to 12–24 hrs.
• Background check, drug test and medical physical required by position.
• OSHA respirator facial hair standards apply.

Responsibilities

• Follow Health and Safety policies; act safely at all times.
• Engage in strenuous physical labor and operate tools and equipment.
• Assist in field sampling and calibration of meters.
• Work in varying temperatures, indoors and outdoors.
• Be on-call for emergencies on a rotating basis.
• Safe loading/unloading of hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
