Clean Harbors in Skowhegan, ME seeks a Field Services Technician I to join our safety-conscious team. The role performs hazardous waste clean-up, site remediation, decontamination, and handling of hazardous materials in the field.

You will work outdoors in varying weather, operate equipment, and follow health and safety policies. The position requires on-call emergency response, physical endurance, and compliance with OSHA and DOT rules, with comprehensive benefits after probation.

Qualifications

• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to perform physical functions per key responsibilities.
• This position includes emergency response; on-call and possible weekends/holidays.
• Background check, drug test, and medical exam may be required.
• OSHA Respiratory Protection standard facial hair requirements.

Responsabilités

• Follow health and safety policies and act in a safe manner.
• Perform heavy lifting and strenuous physical labor as needed.
• Operate light/heavy equipment and power tools; handle PPE and ventilatory equipment.
• Work outdoors in varying temperatures and conditions.
• Assist in field sampling, meter calibration, and waste handling.
• Climb ladders/scaffolding and work from trucks, tanks, or containers.
• Remain on call for emergency response on rotating basis.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
