Job summary

The Fi Company - Las Vegas is seeking a Field Services Technician to install, service, and maintain our digital and visual merchandising displays across customer sites.

The role requires extensive travel (up to 75%), strong customer service skills, and the ability to interpret manuals and flow charts. OSHA training and safety compliance are mandatory, with overtime and on-call as needed.

Qualifications

Job description

Description

The Field Services Technician is responsible for providing customer service and support during field visits or dispatches. The position manages on-site installations, repairs, maintenance, and testing tasks and also diagnoses errors or technical issues and determine proper solutions.

This position travels approximately 75% of the time across the to provide installation and service to customers.

This position is a safety sensitive position and is subject to company drug and alcohol screening including pre-employment, random, reasonable suspicion and post-accident.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Performs installation, service, and maintenance of the Company's unique digital and visual merchandising displays.
  • Troubleshoots failed equipment and components
  • Corrects and/or adjusts malfunctioning or out of spec equipment
  • May train employees and sub-contractors on the proper techniques for installing our digital displays properly.
  • Performs installation work which includes, cutting and drilling concrete, terminating low voltage and control wiring.
  • Reviews, understands, and follows flow charts, equipment manuals, technical documentation, and/or computer printouts for the purpose of installing, troubleshooting, and servicing digital and mechanical systems.
  • Reports hours, parts used and completes work orders via computer. Also follows up on open service issues to ensure that any needed parts are ordered to complete the service call.
  • Works effectively with other personnel to resolve technical problems.
  • Advises the departmental supervisor of all changes and/or problems on a continuing basis.
  • Assists other technical personnel in the performance of duties when requested. Installs, moves, adds, and changes hardware and related peripherals in accordance with the Change Management Process.
  • Takes appropriate actions to mitigate or eliminate hardware/software problems
  • Drives box truck locally for jobs in Nevada.
  • Communicates clearly and accurately with customers, on-site representatives, and management
  • Works in on-site Production department if not travelling to jobs and as needed
  • Maintains and submits accurate paperwork and documentation within assigned deadlines.
  • Keeps accurate data on time worked and time on task.
  • Other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Starting times can be as early as Midnight

Must be able to work a flexible work schedule which includes overtime, weekends and holidays.

Travel could be up to 6 days a week

Requirements
  • Must be able to read, write and/or speak English
  • At least one (1) to five (5) years of experience working in the field or similar environment
  • Ability to read, interpret and understand flow charts, equipment manuals, technical documentation and other materials for the purpose of installing, troubleshooting and servicing digital and mechanical systems
  • Ability to multitask
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Docs, Sheets, and Forms.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Proficient in time management; the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to take initiative and effectively adapt to changes.
  • Recognizes an emergency situation and takes appropriate action.
  • Able to establish and maintain a cooperative working relationships.
  • Able to use sound judgment and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Able to perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature, with impending deadlines and/or established timeframes.
  • Performs well with frequent interruptions and/or distractions.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Will be “on-call”, as necessary.
  • Will work overtime, as necessary.
  • Ability to climb stairs and lift on occasion up to 75 lbs.
  • Drivers license in good standing; Ability and willingness to drive box trucks locally in Nevada
  • Education: High School Diploma/G.E.D. (General Education Diploma) or equivalent required, prefer Associates or higher degree related to Travel Industry or Hospitality/Hotel/Gaming.
  • 2+ years of Gaming/EGM OEM/Casino or Distributor licensing capacity preferred
  • Travel: Travel will be required to other company locations, customer locations and may require international travel. VISA-Passport required or ability to achieve

Must be able to receive gaming licenses in approved gaming jurisdictions.

Must comply with company safety and health programs.

Must attend OSHA training and comply with OSHA procedures and policies.
