About The Role

In this position most of your time will be spent in the field diagnosing or repairing our ATM and multi-function cash handing (TITO Kiosk) devices and requires a fair amount of travel by car for the service area. You will be reimbursed for your mileage. Experience with ATM’s (specifically Diebold or Wincor Nixdorf), similar types of equipment, slot machines, and Microsoft OS software would be a positive for this position.

As a Field Service Technician, you are responsible for addressing technical customer problems related to our ATM and multi-function cash handling kiosk products, working closely with our Customer Service Center (CSC), Regional Support Managers (RSM) and our client’s casino cage and IT staff. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, troubleshooting, repair, and installation of hardware and software. We will provide training and necessary equipment (tools, laptop, customer software, test software and spare parts) to create that professional foundation to perform your job at the highest level.

Responsibilities
  • You may be dispatched daily one or more times on a call-by-call basis. The shifts are 10 hours a day on call with a 4-day work week and 3-days off. Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, overtime, or flex shifts may be required. Occasionally you may be required to fly to a location and stay several days or more to assist another colleague in a different region with a project.
  • Dispatches will typically include diagnosing, repairing, or swapping of hardware components, cleaning and adjustment of mechanical components, and configuration and installation of software.
  • Perform trouble shooting with detailed analysis of hardware and software issues using all available diagnostic tools we provide.
  • Perform routine checks according to documented preventative maintenance procedures and refill consumables like receipt paper as directed.
  • Perform installation, movement, addition, change and removal of hardware and software products and components for ATMs and cash handling equipment.
  • Instruct and train customers on usage and operation of installed hardware and software.
  • Our casino clients can be demanding so maintain an overall commitment to customer satisfaction and provide timely follow-up to customer concerns and requests.
  • Receive briefing for incidents and orders from our dispatch function. Update the dispatch function of all unforeseen issues. Provide detailed debriefing on all performed activities. Proactively inform customers about performed actions.
  • Always observe technical or process problems, proactively inform about potential problems and offer improvement suggestions if possible. Actively use corporate tools and processes for knowledge sharing, e.g. knowledge base to find solutions and provide input for it.
  • Participate in regular hardware and software training (on the job, classroom trainings and web-based trainings) according to the corporate training concept and receive certification after passing relevant test.
  • Responsible for timely and accurate dispatch information (updated at time of call) and all administrative reports as defined by management, including service reports, expense reports, time and attendance records accurately and on time.
  • Always drive safely, obey traffic laws and regulations, and you are responsible for the security and protection of the company tools, test equipment, proprietary software and documentation.
Requirements
  • College education and/or other certification in technology areas.
  • 1-2 years of experience in repairs of any ATM, computer electronics with hardware and software components, or cash handling equipment and/or related devices like slot machines.
  • NRT does not provide a vehicle. Accordingly, the candidate must have a valid driver's license, maintain car insurance, and a reliable means of transportation.
  • Diebold, Wincor, or NCR certification and/or experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrate quality technical, electronic repair and maintenance skills.
  • Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of diverse computer systems and networks, including understanding MS Windows environments.
  • Always maintain professionalism and appearance.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment and maintain a positive, customer focused attitude.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with internal and external personnel, both verbally and in writing.
  • Must be able to interpret and understand technical documentation.
  • PC literacy and good knowledge and application of the relevant tools and methods.
  • Experience in servicing NRT QuickJack products or other ticket redemption products in a casino environment is a plus.
Work Environment
  • Carrying and lifting tool kits and parts of varying weights up to 50 lbs.
  • Requires bending, squatting, walking, standing, or sitting for extended periods.
  • Exposure to secondhand tobacco smoke within the casino environment is common.
  • The noise level in the casino environment is usually moderate to loud.
  • You may be required to drive long distances in traffic, and you may also be exposed to inclement weather conditions.
  • Applicants will be required to go through a thorough vetting process, including background checks and credit checks, including any necessary casino licensing requirements.

The base salary range for this role is $45,000 - $55,000 per year.
