Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company seeks a Field Service Student Technician for hands-on experience in an engineering environment. You will support nondestructive examination activities, including ultrasonics, eddy current, magnetic particle, liquid penetrant, and visual exams, across various projects.

As part of Inspection Service, you will learn industry codes, work across Americas and EMEA markets, and engage with leadership while developing practical field skills in Reactor, Inservice, Balance of

Qualifications

• Must be a student enrolled in a program

Responsibilities

• Work closely with experienced examiners to prepare for field projects
• Gain knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards
• Look at our Americas and EMEA markets to understand where our next opportunities are
• Take initiative on assigned tasks with little oversight
• Engage with the strategic culture and employee engagement work we are doing across the business
• Interact with leadership to gain insight into how the business operates
• Work with Reactor, Inservice Inspection, Balance of Plant and Steam Generator Examination teams
• Candidate should be detail oriented, have a general understanding of NDE, and be a creative thinker

As a member of our Inspection Service Business, you will contribute to an industry leader in nondestructive examination. You will get to work in the areas of nondestructive examination including ultrasonics, eddy current, magnetic particle, liquid penetrant, and visual examinations. We are a fast-paced environment so specific projects may vary.

Key Responsibilities

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The hourly pay range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $18 per hour.
