Aqua Ohio is hiring a Field Service Representative to install, maintain meters and remote reading devices, and support customer service at Aqua Ohio locations. The role requires operating a vehicle, processing work orders, and ensuring safe, reliable service in variable conditions.

A successful candidate will hold a high school diploma or GED, a valid US driver’s license, and OEPA Class I Distribution License (or obtain one). Physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs is required.

Responsabilidades

  • Installs, removes, and maintains meters, remote reading devices and protective equipment at service locations.
  • Receives and processes work orders and emails using tablet or computer.
  • Safely operates and maintains service department equipment.
  • Operates and inspects customer service lines and metering devices.
  • Maintains assigned vehicle per safety and maintenance guidelines.
  • Locates, operates, and reports on curb stops and valves for service termination of delinquent accounts.
  • Responds to customer water service inquiries and resolves issues.
  • Performs service leak checks, pressure checks, and meter readings as needed.
  • Posts notices in accordance with policies.
  • Travels to work sites and may assist with other tasks.

Are you looking for a fantastic career at Aqua? We have a great opportunity for a Field Service Representative. This position performs a wide variety of field service tasks, but not limited to, the installation and maintenance of meters and remote reading devises used at Aqua Ohio.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES: (Primary Duties and Responsibilities)
  • Installs, removes, and maintains meters, remote reading devises and various protective devices at the service location.
  • Receives and processes work orders and email using a tablet or computer.
  • Safely and effectively operates, maintains, monitors, and/or controls service department equipment in accordance with departmental processes.
  • Operates and inspects customer service lines, metering devices and appurtenances.
  • Operates and maintains an assigned vehicle in accordance with all safety and maintenance processes, procedures and guidelines.
  • Elevates and reports unusual conditions in the distribution system to the supervisor.
  • Responds to customer water service inquiries.
  • Meets with customer and resolves issues as needed.
  • Activities include performing service leak checks, pressure checks, reading meters and other tasks as needed.
  • Posts termination and other customer notices in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
  • Locates, operates, closes, and/or blocks curb stops and valves to terminate service for delinquent customer accounts.
  • Performs all activities in accordance with the proper use and maintenance of tools, instruments, and meter cleaning and test equipment.
  • Assists with other tasks or projects as assigned.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

QUALIFICATIONS (Required Experience, Education, Licenses, and Certifications:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • A valid US Driver’s license
  • Must hold an OEPA Class I Distribution License or obtain one within the time frame specified in bargaining unit agreement.
  • Meet the physical requirements for the position

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • May be subject to extreme temperatures, noise, wet and/or humid conditions, mechanical, electrical, gas exposure hazards, fumes, dusts, mists, gases and/or poor ventilation atmospheric conditions.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
  • See, hear, talk, and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
  • Operate standard office equipment
  • Working conditions includes travel to work sites of Essential Utilities and/or other customers
  • Must be available for emergency work after regular working hours and weekends and for scheduled overtime
