Qualifications

• 6+ years of relevant experience with Iowa DOT construction-related services.
• Experience using survey equipment for data collection and layout staking required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Iowa required or ability to get licensed within 6 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Lead construction layout staking and survey layout services for roadway projects.
• Provide field leadership throughout the construction phases.
• Track project budgets and monitor performance metrics.
• Coordinate project communication through meetings and reports.

Skills

Strong understanding of roadway construction practices and Iowa DOT standards

Experience with survey equipment and field-testing tools

Excellent communication, negotiation, and mentoring skills

Strong initiative and ability to manage projects independently

Proven ability to manage stakeholder relationships

Education
