Job summary

Novate Solutions, Inc. is hiring an Industrial Controls Electrician I to join our Field Services Team in Livermore, CA. This role focuses on electrical installation, commissioning, and client-facing support across Bay Area sites.

You will install and troubleshoot control systems, read schematics, and ensure safety compliance while meeting project deadlines. Travel within the Bay Area is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience in installing raceway, conduit, bending conduit per NEC code.
• Working knowledge of NEC code and ability to read/apply it.
• Knowledge of electrical principles.
• Ability to interpret drawings and schematics.
• Experience with low voltage and signaling circuits.
• Experience with instrumentation installation/troubleshooting is a bonus.
• Experience with installing/troubleshooting VFDs.
• Must have a valid CA driver’s license and be 21+.
• Understands basic construction principles.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• Adheres to safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide off-site client support for process failures and automation solutions.
• Offer input to help clients self-resolve issues while considering safety and operational needs.
• Complete new equipment installations for control components (instrumentation, sensors, I/O, VFDs, servo drives).
• Monitor client systems to prevent downtime and optimize performance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Accurately report work via electronic time sheets daily.
