Job summary

Novate Solutions, Inc. is seeking an Engineer I, Automation and Controls to join the Automation Team in Livermore, CA. The role focuses on conceiving and implementing control systems for diverse industrial processes, and leading projects with hands-on PAC/PLC and HMI/SCADA programming expertise.

The ideal candidate will have seven years of experience, strong communication, and the ability to work client-facing in a fast-paced environment while traveling regionally as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum seven (7) years’ experience of verifiable PAC/PLC and SCADA/DCS programming to deliver turnkey automation solutions to industrial applications.
• Proficient PLC/PAC programming: Rockwell Automation, Studio 5000.
• Proficient SCADA programming: Inductive Automation, Ignition Vision platform; Factory Talk View SE.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize, detail, and implement control systems for industrial processes.
• Provide PAC/PLC and HMI/SCADA configuration and programming.
• Develop controls system documentation (Sequence of Operations, FAT/SAT).
• Perform Factory and Site commissioning (FAT/SAT).
• Lead multiple projects concurrently.
• Manage and delegate automation engineering tasks on schedule and budget.
• Provide engineering support for in-house and third-party automation systems.
