Job summary

Novate Solutions, Inc. is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to design and update instrumentation and control diagrams, panel elevations, and I&C drawings for industrial facilities across California.

You will work under limited supervision, coordinating with account managers and other engineers to develop cohesive engineering packages for fabrication, installation, and testing. The role requires expertise in NEC/NFPA standards, PLCs, PACs, VFDs, and I/O systems, with 5–7 years of

Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET preferred).
5–7 years experience in electrical engineering for industrial automation projects.
Proficient in creating instrumentation & control diagrams and electrical schematics.
Valid driver’s license; PE and ISA CAP are preferred but not required.
Experience with NEC/NFPA 70E/79 and UL 508A is preferred.

Responsibilities

Develop Instrumentation & Control Design on assigned projects.
Complete electrical design for <600Vac/dc circuits for I&C systems.
Calculate primary and branch circuit loads and size components.
Calculate wireway requirements in compliance with NFPA 70 (NEC).
Provide engineering support to the business development team for bids and proposals.
Provide technical direction to other Novate team members.
Serve as a point of contact for clients and vendors.
Generate documents in line with company policies and procedures.
Travel as needed for field visits (roughly 15–20%).
