Job summary

Qualifications

• Field Service and on-site equipment installation experience, ideally with complex semiconductor or industrial systems.
• Troubleshooting and Technical Support skills for mechanical, electrical, and software-related issues.
• Preventive Maintenance capabilities, including routine inspections, calibration, and component replacement.
• Customer Service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, manage expectations, and build long-term relationships.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in engineering, electronics, mechatronics, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and equipment documentation; strong attention to detail and safety standards.
• Willingness to travel regionally and occasionally nationwide; valid driver’s license and ability to work in cleanroom environments as needed.
• Experience in semiconductor manufacturing or capital equipment service is a plus; familiarity with PLCs and automation systems is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and test semiconductor process equipment at customer facilities.

Role Description This full-time, on-site Field Services Engineer role is based in the Austin, Texas Metropolitan Area. The Field Services Engineer installs, commissions, and tests semiconductor process equipment at customer facilities, ensuring systems operate safely and according to specifications. Responsibilities include performing diagnostics, troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and software issues, and completing corrective repairs in a timely manner. The role also involves scheduling and executing preventive maintenance, documenting service activities, and providing technical guidance and training to customer personnel. Field Services Engineers collaborate closely with internal teams and customer contacts to resolve equipment issues, support continuous improvement, and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
