Job summary

Orion International seeks a Field Service Engineer in the United States (Rio Rancho, NM area) to install, calibrate, and service semiconductor manufacturing equipment at customer sites. The role includes 12-hour shifts, day and night options, and strict PPE/safety compliance in cleanroom environments.

Expect hands-on installation, preventive maintenance, and rapid diagnostics, with minimal travel for training.

Responsibilities

• Install, start-up, maintain and repair semiconductor equipment at customer sites.
• Perform preventive maintenance and diagnostics to minimize downtime and improve tool performance.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues using schematics, diagrams and manuals.
• Replace defective components and ensure proper system functionality.
• Support equipment relocations, upgrades and process improvements.
• Work in confined cleanroom environments following safety/compliance standards.
• Collaborate with senior engineers for advanced troubleshooting and issue resolution.
• Maintain accurate service documentation, reports and system updates.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships while representing the company professionally.
• Participate in on-the-job training (OJT) and continuous learning to stay current on equipment and processes.
• Execute assigned tasks with strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Position Details (Field Service Engineer)

• Pay: $35–40/hr+ (based on experience)
• Schedule: Compressed work week (front half / back half)
• Shifts: Days and nights available, 12-hour shifts
• Environment: Cleanroom setting requiring PPE and adherence to strict safety protocols
• Travel: Minimal mostly just for training
