Job summary

Electronic Power Design, Inc. is seeking a Field Services Engineer to install, commission, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical power distribution systems across the United States and internationally.

The role emphasizes customer interaction, on-site problem solving, and ensuring reliable operation of mission-critical equipment. Travel up to 80% domestically and internationally is expected for project support and field installations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related engineering discipline.
• 0–2 years of engineering experience; internships and co-ops welcomed.
• Knowledge of electrical power systems and industrial controls.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, technical drawings, and engineering documentation.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, test, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical power distribution systems.
• Diagnose and resolve issues involving switchboards, motor control centers, generators, PLCs, VFDs, protective relays, breakers, and automation systems.
• Analyze system performance and recommend corrective actions to improve reliability and minimize downtime.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, technical drawings, and engineering documentation.
